Upgrading to Amazon Pay Checkout v2

Amazon Pay has introduced a new checkout experience for merchants and customers. This guide will help you determine if you are ready to upgrade, depending on the type of integration you use and the features you need.

Supported ecommerce solutions

See the list below to find out if your ecommerce solution is using Checkout v2. This list will be updated as new plugins become available.

  • 3dcart

    3dcart has enabled Checkout v2 on versions 9 and above, and it can be setup with minimal steps via the 3dcart admin. Additional details available on the 3dcart Amazon Pay help page.

  • BigCommerce

    BigCommerce has made all updates needed. These updates have been made automatically so you don't have to do anything on your site.

  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud (Site Genesis and SFRA)

    An update is available for your Site Genesis and SFRA Amazon Pay integrations. To upgrade, download Amazon Pay cartridge. The ZIP file also includes corresponding instructions.

  • Magento 2

    An update is available for your Magento 2 Amazon Pay integration on the Magento Marketplace. For instructions on how to upgrade, see Amazon Pay for Magento 2. Any previous version of the Amazon Pay module will be removed from Magento version 2.4.4 and higher.

  • WooCommerce

    An update is available for your WooCommerce Amazon Pay integration. Download the most recent WooCommerce Checkout V2 plugin, and follow upgrade and configuration instructions from Amazon Pay Checkout V2 documentation for WooCommerce.

Custom integrations

If you’ve used a custom or self-developed Amazon Pay integration, you will need to update your Amazon Pay solution by applying code changes. Please find instructions on how to upgrade at Upgrading to Checkout v2.
