Frequently asked questions

What is Citi Flex Pay on Amazon?

Citi Flex Pay is a feature built-in to eligible Citi credit cards that allows you to pay over time in equal monthly payments for your eligible Amazon.com purchases and purchases made using Amazon Pay at participating online retailers.

How does Citi Flex Pay on Amazon work?

To use Citi Flex Pay at time of purchase while checking out at Amazon.com or while checking out at participating online retailers using Amazon Pay, simply add $50 or more of eligible items to your shopping cart, select your eligible Citi credit card as your payment method and choose a monthly payment option in the order summary or payment method menu.

After you place your order, the full order total will be deducted from your available credit and billed to your eligible Citi credit card. However, with Citi Flex Pay, only the Flex Pay monthly payment will be added to the Minimum Payment Due each billing cycle until paid in full. See terms and conditions for more details.

Why don’t I see the option to set up Citi Flex Pay?

Reasons for not seeing this option at checkout may include:

1. You are not logged into your Amazon account or the payment option currently selected is not an eligible Citi card.

2. Your purchase may include items that are not eligible for Citi Flex Pay.
Examples of purchases that are not eligible for Citi Flex Pay on Amazon include, but are not limited to: Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods, Amazon Prime Now, 1-Click Purchases, Digital Subscriptions, and Subscribe & Save (if your purchase includes a recurring subscription, then only the first month’s subscription fee will be eligible). Amazon may designate any product as ineligible for a Citi Flex Pay.

3. Your order total is below $50.

To use Citi Flex Pay on an eligible purchase, your Citi credit card account must be current, under the credit limit, and have the applicable Citi Flex Pay terms. Other factors may apply.

Will I still earn credit card rewards for purchases made using Citi Flex Pay on Amazon?

Yes. If you have a Citi credit card that earns rewards, you will earn rewards on your purchase as you normally would.

Can I use ThankYou Points and/or gift cards when using Citi Flex Pay on Amazon?

Citi Flex Pay can be combined with ThankYou Points linked to Shop with Points at Amazon.com and Amazon.com gift cards, or any combination thereof. Amazon Pay does not allow the usage of ThankYou Points or gift cards at this time.

Where can I find the status of my Citi Flex Pay or see which transactions were added to the plan that I set up at checkout on Amazon?

You can view the details of your Citi Flex Pay in your Citi Flex Plan Summary located in your Citi online account, the Citi mobile app or by reviewing your billing statement. Please note that the Citi Flex Pay that you set up at Amazon checkout will not be visible until after your order ships and will not be finalized until the end of your billing period.

Do I need to make separate payments for the Citi Flex Pays I set up at checkout?

No, you do not need to make any separate payments for your Citi® Flex Pay. Your Citi® Flex Pay monthly payment will be added to the Minimum Payment Due each billing cycle until paid in full.

Do I need to adjust my Auto Pay settings after selecting a Citi® Flex Pay?

We suggest you review your Auto Pay settings. Keep in mind:

1. If you select to pay your “Last Statement Balance”, your payment will result in a partial or full prepayment of any Citi® Flex Pay appearing on your most recent statement.

2. If you choose “Adjusted New Balance + Flex Plan Monthly Payment” and pay this amount by the payment due date shown on your statement each Billing Period, you won’t pay any interest on new purchases.

3. If you choose to pay a “Custom Amount” that is less than the Minimum Payment Due (which will include your Flex Plan monthly payment) in any billing cycle, Citi will increase your AutoPay payment for that billing cycle to satisfy your Minimum Payment Due.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CITI FLEX PAY ON AMAZON

Equal Payment Plans. When you use an eligible Citi credit card for purchases made on Amazon.com or while making purchases using Amazon Pay at participating online retailers, you may be offered one or more equal monthly payment options during checkout. Equal monthly payments are available for the full order amount only, which must be at least $50. Each item of merchandise in your order must be eligible for equal monthly payments to select an equal monthly payment option for your order. Equal monthly payments may not be available to all customers or for all merchandise. Other purchase limitations may apply and will be disclosed during checkout. Purchases made using Citi Flex Pay on Amazon.com or while using Amazon Pay at participating online retailers will be billed to your eligible Citi credit card as items ship. You will be responsible for paying it off as part of a Citi Flex Plan at the APR and number of payments selected during checkout. See your Card Member Agreement for more information about Citi Flex Plans.

Splitting and Bundling. If multiple Amazon.com orders or purchases made using Amazon Pay at participating online retailers are financed with equal monthly payments with the same eligible Citi credit card, APR and number of payments, all items from those purchases that ship during the same Billing Period will be combined into one Citi Flex Plan at the end of that Billing Period. If items from a single purchase are financed with equal monthly payments and ship during different Billing Periods, they will be split into separate Citi Flex Plans based on the Billing Period in which they shipped. In either case, each Citi Flex Plan will have the same APR and require the same number of payments that was originally selected at checkout.

Other Promotions. If another lower promo APR applies to purchases on your eligible Citi credit card, that lower promo APR will automatically apply to any item in your order processed as a Citi Flex Plan during the promo period, until the lower promo APR expires pursuant to the terms of such promo. After that, the promo APR disclosed at checkout will apply to the remaining balance of the Flex Plan.

AutoPay. If you are enrolled in AutoPay and have it set to pay “Last Statement Balance,” your entire Flex Plan balance may be paid in full with your next payment unless you adjust your AutoPay settings before your next scheduled payment.

If Purchases Are Not Processed as a Citi Flex Plan. Choosing an equal monthly payment option at checkout on Amazon.com or when using Amazon Pay at participating online retailers does not guarantee that your purchase(s) will be processed as a Citi Flex Plan. If any item in your order is not processed as a Citi Flex Plan, it will be billed as a regular purchase to your eligible Citi credit card subject to the applicable APR and you will be responsible for payment as you normally would.

Overlimit Charges. If your Citi Flex Plan causes you to exceed your credit limit on your eligible Citi credit card, you will be responsible for paying the Overlimit Amount which may include part of your Citi Flex Plan balance, as part of the Minimum Payment Due on your next Citi credit card statement. Consequently, this may reduce the number of monthly payments on your Citi Flex Plan.

Card Rewards. Selecting equal monthly payments at checkout will not affect your eligible Citi credit card’s ability to earn rewards. If you have a Citi card that earns rewards, you will earn rewards on your purchase as you normally would.

Please review your Card Member Agreement for more information.
