Highlights from NRF 2021: Retail’s Big Show

Amazon Pay and AWS shared how retailers are transforming their customer experiences.

The National Retail Foundation was created in 1911, and in every year since, the organization has hosted an annual convention, bringing together industry leaders and visionaries to explore the future of retail. In January 2020, more than 37,000 people piled into New York’s Jacob Javits Center to explore a seemingly endless array of exhibitors, speakers, and networking events.

In January 2021, NRF wasn’t going to let a pandemic interrupt their 110-year run. Retail’s Big Show did indeed go on, with a virtual program that featured 90 Big Ideas sessions and nearly 300 exhibitors, all without having to wait on a line at coat check.

Amazon Pay participated as a featured exhibitor in this year’s Big Show, and we took full advantage of the virtual opportunity, welcoming guests into our live virtual booth, connecting with our merchants, and exploring the future of retail in an increasingly connected, touchless world.
