On October 2, nine members of the Amazon Pay team, alongside Operation Warm, held a shoe gifting event for toddlers and preschoolers in the Central District of Seattle. Through a $10,000 grant from Amazon in the Community, we were able to provide 350 pairs of brand-new shoes to children from the A 4 Apple Learning Center, an organization whose mission is to provide high-quality toddler and preschool programming and childcare in a supportive, safe learning environment.

Children were able to choose from a variety of sizes and colors to pick a pair of shoes that best represents their style. Each pair was provided and manufactured by Operation Warm, a non-profit with the goal of providing brand-new shoes and coats to children in need.

The Amazon Pay team has worked with Operation Warm before, raising $5,000 last year to provide new coats to the kids at Mary’s Place. We’re planning to do another fundraising campaign with them beginning in November, and we’ll be sure to tell you all about it.
